Now that I’ve completed the 30-Day Blog Challenge, I wanted to take a few minutes and share some updates and give you an idea of what to expect from here.
- If you haven’t already, you will soon notice some advertising on the blog. One of my goals is to be able to support myself with this blog and some future endeavors that will be announced when they are available. I promise I will not turn into a sleazy, used car salesman. If you see something you want to click on it, go for it. If not, don’t worry about it. I’m not going to make an issue out of it.
- With the blog course completed, I can get into a publishing rhythm. New posts will be coming out weekly.
- You may have noticed the appearance of the site keeps changing. When I first set it up, I randomly picked a theme and spent the next two months thinking about how ugly it was and it would be changed as soon as I felt more comfortable with the technical aspects. Now that I’m not scared to click on buttons, I’m working on redesigning the site.
- Are we connected on Social Media? You can connect with me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest by searching for “Shedding the Baggage.” Facebook is the one I’m most active on as of today, but I’m working on getting more comfortable with the other platforms and getting more active in those places as well.
- We have a Facebook Group now. It is a private group where we can share our journeys, questions, answers and encourage each other. In my mind, this will be a virtual recovery meeting. I look forward to chatting with you and getting to know you better there. I want to reiterate that this is a PRIVATE GROUP. Only group members will be able to read posts and be part of the discussions that take place.
While I am writing about MY journey, this blog is about helping you on yours. When I’m thinking about what I want to share here, the most important question I ask myself is “What can I share that will help my tribe?” Is there a question you have that you would like to hear my opinion on? Is there something I’ve posted that you need some clarification on or would like to see me explore deeper? If so, please don’t hesitate to let me know either by leaving a comment on any post, or by contacting me via any of the social media platforms I listed above.
One last thing… who do you know? Who do you know that is dragging around their own collection of baggage and would benefit from being exposed to new ideas, possible solutions and a group of like-minded people for support and encouragement? Will you take a moment and share this page with them? I thank God for the women in my life who walked beside me and shared their wisdom and compassion with me while I learned these lessons. If it wasn’t for those women, I’m not sure I would be here to tell this story.
